Special focus is given on adolescent girls education, who are deprived of this privileged due to social taboos. These are later helped get admission to mainstream schools. Abhiyan also works with teachers to sensitize them on issue facing these children in the schools so that drop out rates are reduced and more children can avail of these facilities, with special focus on application and learning methodologies and character building. The organization also works with parents to counsel them to send their wards to school and with PRI member to keep a close eye on the teachers as well as parents in the communities. Parents are counseled on importance of education in family, society and nation building. 450 children belonging to lower strata of society are given primary level education in non-formal manner.
